Welcome to Bergesio Collezione

Our wines from the DOP Sierra de Salamanca and DOP Valtiendas, Segovia, produced only with native varieties, bear the marks of unique territories, from centuries-old vineyards located on mountain terraces and/or moors, which gives them their sumptuous personality.

Our values are caring for the land, its environment and its workers, also being good neighbors, adopting and putting into practice our social and environmental responsibility that guarantees the health of our land, our communities and our sector for future generations.

We seek to make quality wines, in a healthy and beautiful environment for workers, neighbors and wine visitors in our Sierra de Francia, in Valtiendas and throughout Spain.

How it all started?

Mauro Bergesio's passion for wine has formed a large part of his life.

He studied and graduated in 2006 at the Alicante Sommelier School alongside a group of notable Masters, including Enrique Mendoza, a major wine producer in the Levante region.

Mauro started in the world of wine in Cuenca, La Mancha, when he had the opportunity to work alongside the great winemaker Juan Fuente Rus, a “wine architect”, as Mauro likes to call him.

Years later, on a trip to the land of wine, Mendoza, Argentina, he made contact with La Famille Lurton, Jaques and Francois, who months later at their headquarters in Bordeaux offered him the Commercial Management for Spain and Portugal.

Passion, desire, effort, drive and constant work allowed him to be linked to and represent leading wine brands. Collaborating and contributing their knowledge to projects of different friends and colleagues.

In 2010, he participated in the final for the Best Sommelier in Spain, in San Sebastián, Basque Country, representing the best Sommelier in Zamora.

This profound experience and acquired experience awakened in Mauro the idea of creating a collection of Vibrant Living Wines (VVV), thus giving the start to Bergesio Collezione in 2011, when he invited Ismael Gozalo to accompany him at the beginning of the project.

Mauro works looking for a natural Burgundy style, obtaining his first harvest of Rufete in 2012.

And so he moved to the Sierras de Francia in Salamanca, where his life is inspired, right there in Miranda del Castañar, expanding his spectrum to Valtiendas, Segovia, places where his exquisite wines come from.
